“Central to my work is the study of the manipulation of perception, how we can be directed and manipulated into constructing meaning by exposure to selective imagery and information. In addition I am fascinated by systems, often derived from the worlds of mathematics and gambling, and have begun in the last year to explore ways in which these systems can inform the outcomes of my work.
I have recently been working with archival materials originally used for instruction or description and as such have developed a deeper interest in how information and advice is disseminated to people, particularly via governing bodies and ‘experts’.”
