About the Arts Award;
- The Arts Award is a national qualification which recognises how young people develop as artists and arts leaders
- The Award is a personal learning programme which develops and assesses both arts-related and transferable skills, such as creativity, communication, planning and teamwork
- Young people aged 11-25 can achieve awards that are recognised by QCA on the National Qualifications Framework at levels 1,2 and 3
- The award was launched in 2005 by Arts Council England and Trinity Guildhall
How we work with Primary schools
- Year 6 Pupils who are aged 10 are eligible to begin the award and then qualify for the award at age 11. Projects could take place during Arts weeks or as holiday projects.
- The award is well placed for transition to high school projects following SATS
- We will also work with primary schools to develop project ideas, write and submit funding bids for larger projects that are well placed to incorporate the Arts Award
Costs for non-funded projects;
£100 per ½ day
£200 per day per Arts Award adviser
Where project funding has been successful the Arts Award adviser costs are written into the project funds at no additional costs to schools.
