Artists & Education

Artists and Education offer training for schools wishing to apply for Artsmark either for the first time or to advance the level of award i.e from silver to gold.
We offer a hands on interactive approach to training sessions where participants are guided through the processes of ;
• Analysing and auditing current arts provision
• Working through and discussing ‘popular pitfalls’ when filling in the application form
• Identifying gaps in provision and signpost/ suggest ways to address these shortcomings
• How to write an effective overarching arts policy

Training Costs

We offer three different training courses:

1. Working with a group of schools. A cluster of schools (minimum of 6), usually from a single Local Authority, work together over 3 x 2hr twilight sessions. This gives schools the additional opportunity to identify shared resources and experiences to assist their application. £130 per teacher

2.Work with an individual school. Working with Head teachers and/or the Artsmark contact for ½ day to guide them through the application process. This has the advantage of working closely to identify individual strengths and weaknesses within the application. £120 per school

3. Work with larger groups of teachers - minimum 15. Where Local Authorities or clusters of schools have identified a need we can organise a whole day event that covers all aspects of the application process. £120 per teacher
